Russia welcomes Trump’s revised US security strategy

### Trump’s New National Security Strategy: Kremlin Praises It, Ending Ukraine War Declared “Core Interest”, Warns of Europe’s “Civilizational Erasure”!

Just days after US President Donald Trump released his new national security strategy, the Kremlin has responded with surprising praise! Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “This document aligns in many ways with our own vision of the world.”

What’s inside Trump’s bold new strategy?

- Warns that Europe is facing “civilizational erasure”

- Declares ending the Ukraine war a “core” US national interest

- Rejects the idea of NATO as a “perpetually expanding alliance” – a phrase that directly echoes Russia’s long-standing demand

- Signals a desire to restore “strategic stability” with Moscow

- Shifts primary focus to China, calling the Indo-Pacific the “key economic and geopolitical battleground” and pledging to expand military power to deter a China-Taiwan conflict

Peskov welcomed the changes but cautioned that America’s “deep state” (a term Trump himself often uses) may not share the president’s vision.

Meanwhile, Ukraine war diplomacy is reaching a critical juncture. President Zelenskyy will travel to London tomorrow for a four-way summit with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Zelenskyy has been urgently seeking strong European support, especially as US officials increasingly echo Moscow’s position that Kyiv must consider territorial concessions in any peace deal.

Experts say the document reflects Trump’s ambition to fundamentally reshape the US-led post-World War II global order through an “America First” lens. The emphasis on defending Europe’s “Western identity” and preventing “civilizational erasure” uses language that closely mirrors far-right narratives in both the EU and the US.

With Russia deepening ties with China amid Western sanctions, Trump warned earlier this year: “As a student of history… the first thing you learn is you don’t want Russia and China to get together.”

Is a major turning point in global politics approaching?
